This is actually a fairly common export/rendering issue with CapCut's auto-captions rather than a problem with your edits.

Here are the most likely causes, in order of probability:

1. CapCut's caption rendering bug (most likely)

   • Auto-captions sometimes become corrupted during export, especially in longer projects (5–10+ minutes).

   • The glitches often appear in different places on different exports, which is a sign the renderer is failing rather than the caption data itself.

2. Cached preview vs. export mismatch

   • The editor shows the cached preview, but the exporter re-renders every text layer from scratch.

   • If the caption track has become corrupted internally, only the export shows the issue.

3. Hardware acceleration/GPU rendering

   • This is one of the biggest causes of random text artifacts.

   • If you're using the desktop version, try turning Hardware Acceleration (or GPU encoding/decoding) off, restart CapCut, and export again.

   • If it's already off, try turning it on instead.

4. Project corruption

   • Since you've already re-edited the project twice, it's possible the caption track itself is corrupted.

• Export once with hardware acceleration disabled.

If it's only the captions

A surprisingly effective workaround is:

1. Duplicate the caption track.

2. Delete the original.

3. Or regenerate the auto-captions and make your small corrections again.

I have noticed that users have found that rebuilding the caption layer fixes random export glitches.

A couple of questions

1. Do the glitches appear in the same spots every export, or do they move around each time?

2. What do the glitches actually look like?

   • Random letters?

   • Text jumping?

   • Wrong words?

   • Overlapping captions?

   • Flickering?

If they move to different timestamps on each export, I'd be about 90% confident it's an export/rendering bug rather than anything wrong with your caption edits.
